Manning Elliott LLP Announces Two New Partner Appointments

Alden Aumann, managing partner of Manning Elliott LLP, has announced the appointment of two new partners for the firm, effective January 1st, 2016.

Adam Denny, CPA, CA, (pictured right) from the firm’s Private Company Practice, and Sheryne Mecklai, CPA, CA, (pictured left) from the firm’s Tax Practice, will join Manning Elliott’s current roster of 26 partners.

“I’m pleased to be making this announcement,” says Alden Aumann. “It furthers our goal of keeping a balance of youth and experience in our firm. Both Adam and Sheryne are highly talented practitioners. Adam has extensive experience in the retail, manufacturing, distribution and transportation sectors, as well as in real estate and not-for-profits. Sheryne is a key member of our Canadian Tax Practice, with extensive experience in complex estate plans and corporate, trust and personal tax compliance.”

Adam graduated from the United Kingdom’s University of Southampton in 2002. He went on to obtain his Chartered Accountant designation in the UK in 2005. Moving to Canada in 2006, Adam received his Canadian designation in 2012.

Adam explains, “I like the close contact I can have with my clients in an independent firm like Manning Elliott, and helping them achieve their goals, both in business and personally. I look forward to expanding my practice and continue building long-term relationships with new and existing clients”

Sheryne graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, and then obtained her Chartered Accountant designation in British Columbia in 2002. Since joining Manning Elliott in January 2014, Sheryne has made significant contributions to the firm’s Tax Practice.

“I’m excited to join a firm that suits my personality so well and to work with a group of people with diverse areas of tax specialization,” says Sheryne. “I look forward to helping our current and future clients work through the maze of the increasingly complex Canadian and international tax rules.”
