    About Paul

With over 20 years of experience, Paul’s clients range from entrepreneurial start-ups to large-scale diversified organizations, including their key principals and stakeholders. Paul also works with a number of incorporated professionals including commercial realtors, doctors, and lawyers.

Paul works with technology companies and their financial and legal advisors to identify optimal strategies to monetize available incentive tax credits and other sources of funding for their organization. He also assists his private clients in achieving maximum value for shareholders through evaluating tax-advantageous means to extract liquidity from their organizations.

In addition, Paul works with a variety of investment funds including those structured as corporations, limited partnerships, and mutual fund unit trusts, as well as the management entities that oversee the stewardship of the underlying assets. Paul is well-versed in the securities regulations applicable to these management entities, including exempt market dealers and other registrants following the provisions of National Instrument 31-103.

Leading local and international auditing engagements for publicly listed companies trading in Canada and the United States, Paul helps his public clients comply with continuous disclosure and prospectus filing requirements.

After spending time in industry, working with a mid-sized accounting firm and then a large international accounting firm, Paul joined Manning Elliott in 2011. Clients appreciate Paul’s sensible, realistic, and down-to-earth approach to arriving at practical and feasible solutions to their business needs.

Paul obtained his Certified General Accountant designation in 2001 and his Chartered Accountant designation in 2005.
