About Matthew
He has experience in a range of industries including real estate, manufacturing, wholesale, retail and software development. His practice also focuses on serving professionals, especially lawyers, doctors and dentists.
Fluency in both Cantonese and Mandarin makes Matthew an important member of Manning Elliott’s China Business Group. He travels regularly to China and Hong Kong to cultivate this major practice area.
Matthew works hard to develop and maintain long-term client relationships built on trust and professional care – he believes that earning and maintaining client loyalty is key to his strong practice.
He volunteers his time and expertise as a trustee and treasurer of the Jack Webster Foundation, which promotes excellence in journalism in BC. He was the director on the Board of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce. When not volunteering his time, Matthew enjoys reading, travelling, golf, tennis and badminton.
Education
Matthew earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in 1994 and joined Manning Elliott in 1997, after which he completed the Certified General Accountant program in 1999 and received his CPA, CA designation in 2003.
