Manning Elliott Tax Partner, Steve Reed, Recognized as a Fellow by CPABC

VANCOUVER, BC – Manning Elliott is proud to announce, tax group leader and partner, Steve Reed, has been recognized by the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC) with a fellowship (FCPA).

The FCPA distinction is the highest achievable honour that a CPA within the accounting profession can aspire to obtain. Nominated and selected by a committee of their peers, FCPAs are leaders, innovators, and mentors known for their dedication and commitment to their community and to the CPA profession.

A career spanning over 30 years, Steve has given back to the profession in countless ways. Whether giving insightful tax presentations to special interest groups and businesses, to mentoring aspiring CPA professionals during their career progression, Steve has done an extraordinary amount of work to raise awareness of CPAs as subject matter experts.

Alongside his commitment to the CPA profession, he shares an equal passion for “the beautiful game”, soccer. As president of the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA), Steve played an integral role in securing the United 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup bid with other host nations, the United States, and Mexico.

The FIFA World Cup is the largest single sport competition in the world, viewed by billions of spectators on TV and in stadiums. The expected economic activity generated by the event in North America is $5.0 billion. This bid win, thanks in part to Steven’s leadership, is expected to increase registration and interest in soccer across Canada-ultimately growing the game within the country.

Please join us in congratulating Steve for this incredible career milestone and personal achievement!
