CPA MODULES

The CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) requires candidates to complete six modules: two core modules, two elective modules and two capstone modules.

PATHS WE OFFER

As a pre-approved training office for the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP), Manning Elliott offers two paths: Pre-Approved External Audit and Assurance, Compilation, and Tax (ACT).

Preapproved External Audit

The External Audit path within the CPABC Professional Education Program provides students with valuable hands-on experience in the field of audit and assurance.

By completing the External Audit path certification, students will have the opportunity to work with industry-leading professionals in a variety of audit settings, including public and private companies, and non-profit entities.

  • 30 months of practical experience
  • 1250 chargeable assurance hours, of which 625 must be in audit  of historical financial statements
  • Audit licensure

Assurance, Compilation, and Tax (ACT)

Articling students following the Assurance, Compilation, and Tax (ACT) path will gain hands-on experience across assurance, compilation, and tax engagements. This path is ideal for those seeking a well-rounded foundation in public practice with opportunities to specialize in tax.

Students will have the unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients including high net worth families, farming operations, real estate ownership and development, non-profit organizations and charities, information technology, oil & gas, mining companies, and software development companies. 

  • 30 months of practical experience
  • 15-20% of tax work on audit clients
