
Joseph provides audit, tax, and general business advisory services mainly small and medium-sized public and private companies, especially those in the mineral resources, investment, software, distribution, and franchising industries. He advises clients on complex accounting matters, securities filings, and Canadian and American financial reporting issues.
About Joseph
Joseph enjoys explaining complex accounting and tax issues, providing clear, effective recommendations so that his clients fully understand the information needed to make the best decisions.
He is also the leader of Manning Elliott’s International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Task Force. In this role, he educates Manning Elliott staff and clients on IFRS issues and requirements and provides guidance to clients on IFRS implementation.
Active in professional development, Joseph mentors junior team members to help strengthen and advance their skill sets. His efforts are key to the development of Manning Elliott’s proficient and cost-efficient audit team.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Joseph enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, and hiking, as well as spending relaxing afternoons on the beach with his family.
Education
Joseph received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and completed his CA designation in Toronto before joining Manning Elliott in Vancouver in 2001.
