“The best work happens when clients see you as part of their team, not just a report on their desk. That's what I'm building toward on every engagement.”

Hao leads the M&A and Valuations practice at Manning Elliott. He helps business owners, private companies, and their advisors figure out what a business is worth and help them through the transaction. His valuation work covers M&A transactions, tax and estate planning, shareholder matters, purchase price allocations, and fair value for financial reporting. On the deal side, he also works with buyers and sellers from early planning through to closing — handling the financial analysis, positioning, and negotiation support along the way.

Hao works closely with management teams, tax advisors, auditors, and lawyers to ensure his conclusions hold up and fit the bigger picture. He holds the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation, an MBA, and is bilingual in English and Mandarin. Earlier in his career, Hao worked in the forestry industry before moving into valuations advisory — a background that gives him a practical feel for how valuation work connects to financial reporting, tax, and deal execution, which adds real value on engagements involving cross-border ownership or stakeholders based in Greater China.
