Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Personal Attributes:

  • 6 years in infrastructure support roles working with technologies such as:
  • o Microsoft servers, Active Directory, Group Policies, SQL
  • o Azure, Intune, Autopilot, Microsoft Endpoint Defender, Office 365 (SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, Power Automate)
  • o VMware, vMotion, vSphere
  • o Citrix XenApp Server with NetScaler in a VDI environment
  • o Networking technologies such as firewalls, switches, routing and wireless
  • o Server hardware such as SAN, NAS, Servers (HPE Nimble dHCI preferred)
  • o Backup software’s such as Veeam, Zerto, Azure Site Recovery
  • o General understanding of Open and Rest API, PowerShell, network monitoring and automation systems
  • 2 years in an IT managerial or team leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure design and concepts
  • Strong knowledge of IT security principals and frameworks
  • Deep understanding of ITSM based ticketing systems and processes
  • Foundational proficiencies in ITIL, NIST and CIS frameworks
  • Proficient knowledge in IT project management techniques and methodology
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong structured documentation skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Knowledge of financial applications considered an asset
  • Certifications in any of the following is considered advantageous: VMware, Microsoft Azure or 365, ISC2, ITIL Foundations, Aruba, Citrix

Responsibilities:

  • Provide team leadership, mentorship, training and leading by example
  • Working with and assisting in Budgeting, IT strategy and roadmaps, vendor management
  • Monitoring of KPI and performance of IT Department operations
  • Serve as support and escalation point for priority incidents on and off hours
  • Working on IT driven initiatives including design, upgrades, system builds, network security and other projects.
  • Oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they meet specified goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Working with other team members for escalation and training
  • Maintains a service level for firm’s user base through use of ITSM systems, processes, procedures and policies
  • Writing documentation including SOW, SOP, diagrams, build documentation, KB, checklists, runbooks, processes, procedures, workflows, project documentation, DR Planning
  • Assist in the overall operational administration of the organizations IT infrastructure including: Firewalls, Exchange, Office 365, Active Directory, Citrix XenApp, Citrix Netscaler, Citrix Studio, Citrix Director, Citrix Storefront, RSA, Backups, VMware, Azure, Monitoring, SAN, Servers, Networking, Security, VPN, Video Conferencing, HPE Nimble dHCI, Disaster Recovery Planning and Testing
  • Managing the overall security infrastructure including our MDR, EDR, XDR, Firewalls, Security Policies and data governance
  • Onsite support when required at the firm’s offices across the lower mainland

Salary Range:

  • The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $118,000. Individual salaries within this range will be dependent upon skills, experience, and qualifications.
Purpose of Role

To oversee and manage the Information Technology operations. This includes maintaining the existing IT infrastructure, actively identifying areas for innovation and improvement, collaborating with other department heads, providing strategic input on IT initiatives, and ensuring all IT activities align with the Firm’s goals and objectives.
