Waseem is a Partner in Manning Elliott’s Audit and Accounting Public Company practice. He works with public companies and larger private and growth-oriented businesses operating in complex financial reporting and regulatory environments, and frequently supports private companies preparing to access the capital markets. Waseem has extensive experience with financial reporting frameworks including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS Accounting Standards) and United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). He provides assurance services in accordance with Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS), International Standards on Auditing (ISA), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (U.S. GAAS), and standards of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). His work includes supporting companies through capital markets transactions and ongoing regulatory reporting, with a focus on helping clients meet the expectations of regulators, investors, and capital markets while maintaining a strong emphasis on audit quality, transparency, and practical financial reporting solutions.

In addition to his assurance work, Waseem advises management teams and boards on financial reporting, capital market readiness, and regulatory matters. He regularly supports companies through advisory engagements such as audit preparation, financial reporting support, and fractional CFO services, helping strengthen their finance functions and prepare for the demands of public company reporting. Waseem takes a collaborative and pragmatic approach, working closely with leadership teams to address complex reporting matters, enhance internal processes, and position companies for effective interaction with auditors, regulators, and investors.
